Gold Sovereigns £65.00 Each - 1 Day Only 1st April 2011
Special April Fools Day Offer - Gold Sovereigns only £65 each (We are joking, but there is a serious side to our jest).
April Fools Day Tricks
In Britain, and many other countries, there is a tradition of playing harmless practical jokes on others.
Although we take our business, and our customer's satisfaction very seriously. we do believe that humour has its place, and life can and should be fun when practical.
We created this page in the spirit of April Fool Fun, but as stated above, there is also a serious element included within it.
Not all our competitors are as honest as us, and seem to think they can fool all of the people all of the time.
At current gold prices, sovereigns contain more than £200 worth of gold, so nobody in their right mind would be advertising them for sale at less.
Royal Mint's Price Starts at £269
The Royal Mint's current price for its 2011 bullion sovereigns is £269 each, but until very recently they were (and still are) advertising:
British Gold Sovereigns From Only £65.00
Misleading advert headline by the British Royal Mint in March 2011 when their cheapest sovereigns were actually £269, and £82.50 for a quarter sovereign, nothing for only £65!
